Luster National, Inc. is Hiring a System Management Consultant, New York - NY Near New York, NY

Luster National, Inc., a minority-owned small business headquartered in Mill Valley, California, with offices nationwide, and a highly respected Program, Project, Construction and Consulting Management company, is seeking an experienced & successful System Management Consultant.

About the position

The successful candidate will be within the Program Management Consulting Services offered by Luster National to prospective clients.

Luster National, Inc. provide services for a range of programs ranging from $10 Million to over $5 Billion construction costs. Our team members work at Client firms offices along with other Team Members. .

Responsibilities

Assist with oversight and/or performance of the items below for projects within a large Transportation Program.

  • Facilitate planning and scheduling of the projects and programs ensuring all components of systems are supported and represented, ensuring all inputs and outputs are accounted for and aligned between the subsystems.
  • Coordinate and facilitate proper risk management activities including risk identification, quantification and mitigations for both technical and non-technical aspects of the projects.
  • Ensure technical management plans are developed and in place including Engineering Management Plans, Migrations plans and Testing Plans.
  • Identify and maximize funding from all sources
  • Ensure that adequate funds are available in the appropriate phases and time frames to advance the delivery of the projects as scheduled
  • Develop and monitor prosecution of updates to MPO Transportation Improvement Plans
  • Develop FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) major project initial financial plans and subsequent annual updates based on the financial delivery models
  • Establish budgets based on rigorous estimating processes
  • Follow and implement established change management processes
  • Capture, monitor, and report costs incurred against budgeted values within the Program Management Controls System
  • Coordinate with project teams to determine a forecast of future costs, facilitating the maintenance of a current EAC
  • Provide timely information enabling proactive informed decision making by management
  • Escalate cost/schedule variances and change management issues as you become aware

Skills and Attributes

Candidates will need excellent Excel skills and solid written communication skills. Please be aware that we will ask that candidates called for a follow-up interview take an Excel skills assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with critical thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Industry experience with large complex integrated system delivery projects/programs
  • Experience leading integrated teams of various subject matter expertise brought together to deliver multifaceted projects.
  • Super-user Excel skills
  • e-Builder Program Management Control System experience or comparable
  • Power Point competent
  • Word competent
  • Experience with scheduling software
