All Vetcor practices have a shared goal of providing excellent care and service to both patients and clients in their communities.

The Role

Vetcor is looking for a dynamic Project Manager to support our veterinary practice acquisition program. One aspect of Vetcor’s growth is purchasing practices from veterinarians looking to transition away from business ownership and bring those practices into our network while retaining their unique culture, name, and image. This position will oversee Vetcor’s veterinary practice acquisition pipeline from signed letter of intent to transaction completion to ensure all acquisitions close in a timely and organized manner. We are dedicated to providing a smooth and positive experience for all incoming practices so this position will necessitate a strong understanding of all aspects of Vetcor’s business and acquisition process. The Acquisitions Project Manager will work closely with prospective new hospitals, business development, operations, and finance to successfully bring new hospitals onboard with Vetcor

Why Join Vetcor

Work with a passionate team united by a shared love for animals and a commitment to making a positive impact in their lives. Vetcor's culture is deeply rooted in our shared passion for pets and our commitment to helping our practices provide compassionate veterinary care. Every member of the Vetcor team plays a vital role in advancing our mission to enhance the health and well-being of pets and the people who care for them.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend due diligence meetings with sellers, brokers, and/or legal counsel and serve as their primary point of contact for the company.
  • Draft, deliver, and negotiate employment agreements for all veterinarians hired via acquisitions.
  • Manage and maintain acquisition portfolios in Asana.
  • Follow-up frequently with internal and external parties to drive forward progress for each acquisition.
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with sellers, brokers and/or legal counsel to provide progress updates, answer questions and/or address concerns related to all facets of the company and transition.
  • Lead weekly meetings of company’s acquisitions team and provide progress updates for each acquisition.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the closing of acquisitions.
  • Provide support in ensuring the practice is ready for a successful handoff, including negotiating and setting expectations around compensation and any other changes that affect the future of the practice once they have joined Vetcor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Master’s degree strongly preferred)
  • 5 years of experience in multi-location veterinary practice management, including P&L responsibility (we will also consider those with acquisitions project management experience in the medical, dental, eye care, or other multi-location healthcare fields)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Expertise in managing your workload independently and dealing effectively with competing priorities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to navigate difficult personalities and resolve conflicts
  • Proficiency in Asana, DocuSign, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace
