This near-term opportunity is ideal for a self-starting, detail-oriented, and technically proficient individual to provide direct advisory support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The candidate should have experience across most space disciplines in providing technical and management oversight of performers on space development and demonstration programs, communicating and interfacing directly with senior leaders; tracking and completing multiple tasks simultaneously; working independently with little to no supervision; and providing objective, independent critical thinking. The preferred candidate will have experience with technical engineering in spacecraft systems, architectures, communications, and payloads. Responsibilities include providing support to the Government Program Manager, in implementing new and ongoing Science and Technology (S&T) programs.

Additional responsibilities may include assisting the Government in developing new concept and program ideas, advising Government clients on incoming technical proposals and white papers, and reviewing and providing inputs on acquisition related documents.

Required Experience:

• Clearance: Top Secret
• Master’s in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related field (additional experience may be substituted for the Master’s)
• 5 years’ experience in spacecraft systems and/or integration
• Experience working with the Government aerospace community (NASA, Department of Defense, etc)
• Demonstrated experience with complex system architectures
• Required travel 10-15%

Desired Experience:

• Prior Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) support experience
• Experience with space concepts of operations for collection and dissemination
• Prior experience at DARPA or Air Force Research Laboratory
