Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the System Engineer II position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The System Engineer II is responsible for executing compliance processes and setting standards and requirements for secure designs and architectures. The role requires a solid foundation in designing, validating, and communicating architectures that adhere to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Skills / Experience Required

• 8 years' experience in system engineering
• Demonstrated experience performing system assessments
• Experience working with cybersecurity solutions
• Demonstrating ability in his(her) area of expertise
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Education / Certifications

• MA/MS
• Preferred IAT II certifications (Sec , CISM, CISA, CASP, or CISSP)

Security Clearance

A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty pounds, as necessary.
