Systems Engineer (Enterprise Architect) - Senior

R&K provides Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) in direct support of various DoD and Air Force (AF) Headquarters (HQ). This effort is to secure program support, professional services, engineering technical services that improve policy making, decision-making, management, administration, program management, or research and development activities for the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (USD(I&S), Secretary of the AF for Acquisitions (SAF/AQ), HQ AF Intelligence Directorate (A2), and elements within the Air Combat Command (ACC).
The contract provides Air Force enterprise Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) subject matter expertise related to platform, sensor, and communications infrastructure, with focus on the system and AF Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) enterprise architecture, CONOPs, policy, future technologies, STANAG 4575, analysis, facilitation and communication of evolving governance, standards, programmatic, and technical developments affecting the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) and Support to the Enterprise Program Elements.
The R&K Team is seeking a highly qualified full-time Senior Level Enterprise Architect Systems Engineer.

Start Date: Upon Approval
Duties: The successful candidate shall:
•Apply technology and operations and suggest improvements for technical insertion and modernization strategies.
•Provide technical expertise for analysis of alternatives between various systems.
•Provide systems architecture vision and engineering support for planning purposes.
•Adapt current systems to support future missions.
•Conduct engineering impact analysis and implementation solution of major projects including system upgrades and design improvements/modifications.
•Provide requirement support to identify deficiencies and solutions.
•Use modeling and simulation to support operations and sustainment as well as identify capability gaps.
•Utilize an in-depth understanding of cloud-based architecture solutions for DoD and IC modernization efforts.
•Utilize knowledge of deploying enterprise scale applications to production using cloud-based infrastructure.
•Perform analysis, design, develop and deliver cloud based enterprise architecture models in support of AF DCGS open architecture and joint interoperability certification requirements.
•Use software engineering processes to assess opportunities for interoperability and integration of enterprise ISR systems.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSA) : Candidate must have the following qualifications:
1. Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in Enterprise Architecture Systems Engineering, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the Enterprise Architecture Systems Engineering discipline.
2. Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Systems Engineering as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in this area of expertise.
3. Candidate must meet one of the following requirements:
a) Master's Degree and twelve (12) years experience in Enterprise Architecture Systems Engineering, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD or,
b) Bachelor's Degree and fifteen (15) years of experience in Enterprise Architecture Systems Engineering, five (5) of which must be in the DoD, or
c) Twenty (20) years experience in Enterprise Architecture Systems Engineering, Eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
4. Ten (10) years in technical leadership for DoD or IC Systems Program Office experience in Government IT strategy, projects, and programs. Able to develop new ideas, develop strategic relationships and be able to demonstrate understanding of both DoD and IC organization and related system architectures; Experience designing horizontally scalable services and capabilities.
5. AWS certifications including Solutions Architect Associate, Professional, preferred
