Service Advisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their satisfaction, by providing exceptional service and coordinating the repair and maintenance needs of their vehicles. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong automotive background, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, greeting and addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Listen attentively to customer descriptions of vehicle issues, ask probing questions, and provide clear explanations of recommended services.
  • Assess customer vehicle concerns and work with technicians to accurately inspect and diagnose problems.
  • Provide detailed repair estimates, including parts and labor costs, to customers in a transparent manner.
  • Schedule appointments and prioritize repair jobs based on urgency and availability of parts and resources.
  • Place orders for necessary parts and ensure their timely arrival.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate pricing, availability, and delivery of parts.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts orders and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Utilize knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance to recommend additional services or preventive maintenance based on customer vehicle inspections and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Clearly communicate the benefits and value of recommended services to customers.
  • Provide regular updates to customers regarding the status of repairs, estimated completion times, and any changes to the initial assessment or estimate.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, repair orders, and service history.
  • Document customer concerns and vehicle symptoms accurately to ensure proper communication with the technicians.
  • Build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers by providing personalized attention and exceptional service.
  • Conduct quality checks on completed repairs to ensure they meet established standards before delivering the vehicle to the customer.
  • Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally, providing appropriate solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
  • Thorough knowledge of customer service, job estimations, product knowledge of parts, and basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Customer Service & Sales Oriented
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, automotive service management software and computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer focus.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in English & Spanish (oral and written)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
