Service Advisor job summary

Jaguar Land Rover Chicago is in the need of an “Experienced” Service Advisor to advise customers on service options and repair requirements. This is not a training opportunity. Only seasoned individuals will be considered. We’re counting on you to develop extensive product knowledge and to serve all of our customers with a friendly smile and honest guidance. We operate one of the finest and most efficient service centers in the city and we expect all our team members to provide excellent service in order to maintain the highest CSI rating possible.

Service Advisor Information

(This is a $100k position, you decide how much.)

Service Advisor Responsibilities

• Greet customers when they arrive at the service center.
• Perform a walk-around to ensure and address any visible damage or other warning lights on the vehicle that the customer may have not pointed out.
• Consult with Automotive Technician about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive work.
• Provide customers with in-depth information about the results of a comprehensive MPI that is performed on every car regardless of mileage.
• Help customers decide the best course of action by recommending the repairs and services that Automotive Technicians have recommended.
• Call customers to inform them of changes in Service or to let them know their vehicle is ready for pick-up.
• Explain in detail the work that will be performed.
• Answer customer service questions when the customer calls the Service center.
• Ensure that your customers are happy with their visit to the Service center in order to maintain the highest CSI rating in customer service scores.
• Must have strong computer, and phone skills and CDK experience is preferred.
• Advise customers about warranty protections and potential cost savings.

Service Advisor qualifications, requirements, and skills

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must have a valid IL driver's license.
• Must be willing to submit for a background check and drug screen.
• Previous Service Advisor experience required.
• Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
• Strong computer skills required.
• CDK experience preferred.
