Under the supervision of the physician, performs Medical Assistant specific tasks, and assesses andeducates patients.

Education
High school degree or equivalent
Experience
One year of experience in a clinical setting
Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
Qualifications
Training in specialty-specific assisting desired Good communication skills Competent to provide careto patients utilizing the nursing process Knowledge of the basic principles of human growth anddevelopment Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs whichmay apply, based on age of the patient served
