Hotel Valencia Riverwalk is located in downtown San Antonio, TX and is a pillar of the community. Job summary:

Provide excellent service to hotel guest rooms in a devoted and efficient manner. Responsible for stocking housekeeping supplies for the various housekeeping functions in the hotel, clean and maintain the guest hallways and other hotel areas as assigned.

Shift requirements:

• Primarily shifts from 9am-5:30pm Saturday-Sundays; 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday; evening shifts possible based on hotel needs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute positively to the team within the department
• Prepare for any/all guest requests
• Participate in on-going training
• Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the hotels needs
• Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor
• Delivers all items requested by guests to their guestroom (e.g. extra towels, amenities, dry-cleaning, etc.)
• Ensuring to restock storages with amenities/linen/clean glassware/in room guest supplies/etc.
• Ensure to keep storages clean and organized
• Immediately responds to any potentially dangerous conditions such as wet floors
• Removes trash from trash cans in the hallways, guest rooms and other areas and deposits in the dumpster
• Shampoos carpets and provides floor care when needed
• Responsible for the cleanliness of guest hallways, elevators, carpet edges, and stairwells
• Complete all checklist items
• Maintain communication with team members to ensure assigned tasks/ requests are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure lost & found items from guest rooms are picked up by a supervisor.
• Handle guest issues and special requests to best of ability to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Ensure guest preferences are completed as requested.
• Verify assignments have been completed before the end of the shift
• Responsible for maintaining hotel equipment ensuring to wash and clean equipment as needed to ensure it is kept in proper working conditions (such as vacuums)
• Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees

Qualifications/Benefits

• Hotel Operations or Customer Service experience preferred
• Communicates effectively with others

• Effective multitasking skills
• Composure and patience under pressure
• Previous experience in housekeeping department in hotel or related service industry preferred
• Contributes to team results.
• Ability to overcome unexpected obstacles through resourceful means.
• High school or equivalent education required.
