We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team at a brand new upscale Italian restaurant in Folsom / El Dorado Hills area. Drawing inspiration from the sophistication and culinary heritage of Vacanza Romana, our restaurant aims to deliver a dining experience that embodies the essence of Italian cuisine with a modern twist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a creative and innovative menu that showcases authentic Italian flavors and ingredients, while incorporating contemporary culinary trends.
  • Lead and mentor a team of culinary professionals to ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and flavor.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, ordering, inventory control, and cost management, to meet financial targets and uphold high standards of excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to create a cohesive dining experience that reflects the upscale ambiance and spirit of the restaurant.
  • Demonstrate expertise in pasta-making techniques and create signature pasta dishes that highlight the artisanal craftsmanship and flavors of Italy.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in an upscale dining establishment, with a focus on Italian cuisine.
  • Extensive experience in menu creation and a strong understanding of flavor profiles, ingredient sourcing, and recipe development.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team of culinary professionals to achieve culinary excellence.
  • A passion for Italian cuisine and a deep knowledge of Italian culinary traditions, including pasta-making techniques.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
