The successful PM will have a technical understanding of the software development of COTS implementation processes to the level needed to be successful in coordinating planning and execution of these projects. They will need good team and communication skills enabling them to work in cross team environments across multiple levels of the business and technology teams.

Essential Job Functions:
The Senior Technology Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams in the successful implementation of technology/software projects, driving them from conception to completion.
Responsibilities include:
Leading cross-functional teams with clarity and vision, ensuring alignment with project objectives and organizational goals.
Developing comprehensive project plans, managing scope, documenting risks, and effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
Managing vendor relationships throughout project lifecycles, serving as the primary contact and facilitating seamless communication between internal staff and external vendors.
Overseeing business and technical tasks, meticulously maintaining work lists, task owners, deadlines, and pertinent notes to ensure timely completion.
Playing a pivotal role in the technology procurement process, contributing to business case development, requirements definition, vendor evaluation, and final solution recommendation.
Proactively resolving project issues, collaborating independently with business owners and vendors to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
Providing invaluable support during software implementation activities, including change management, configuration, user acceptance testing, and training, ensuring a smooth transition to the go-live phase.
Supporting the Project Governance process, participating in project initiation, senior management reviews, resource allocation, prioritization, and comprehensive reporting.
Facilitating clear and consistent communication with all team members, fostering engagement and ensuring a deep understanding of the business impact of projects.
Developing a profound understanding of each department's long-term plans and their implications for program management and future technology projects.
Assisting project owners with budget management, training initiatives, procedural enhancements, and transition to ongoing support.
