The mission of UT Health San Antonio is to make lives better through excellence in education, research, health care and community engagement.Job DescriptionResponsible for managing projects for a quality improvement project based longitudinal course and other tasks requiring project management skills to include establishing project milestones, timelines, analysis of required resources vs. objectives of project; monitor project deliverables, identify risks and impact on schedule; utilize systems and processes to plan, track and execute projects; compile progress reports, complete reports per project; and develop and monitor budget of project (s). Provide assistance as needed to support the operational aspects of the Office of Continuing Medical Education. Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills.Duties: Facilitates with projects in the institution-wide Clinical Safety and Effectiveness Training Program. The project manager will provide consultation, expertise, and advice regarding projects that meet the goals and objectives of the program. The project manager will meet with faculty and staff initiating the Clinical Safety & Effectiveness (CSE) Education program to develop projects and continues to meet with participants through the completion of their CSE project.Provides assistance in data analysis for Center and CME projects. Identifies projects and components needing additional statistical support and consultation. Responsible for all Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval aspects of projects and the Office of Sponsored Programs, when applicable. Maintains the Center for Patient Safety & Health Policy database.Tracks progress and completion of projects in the Center and Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME). Maintains the Center web log to include current activities, events, and links to serve as a source of information regarding Center and CSE activities to UT Health SA, regional partners, and the public.Develops, submits, tracks and reconciles project grants for the Center and CME. Represents the Center for Patient Safety and CME through a customer friendly approach. Collaborates with Continuing Medical Education staff.QualificationsRequired: Bachelor’s degree and at least six (6) years related experience.Preferred: Master’s degree. Training and experience in quality improvement and research.
