The City of Houston could either continue extending the position further or offer a permanent position if one becomes available at that time. This of course depends on the city if they can do so.

Pay Rate: $28.00

Location: Houston, TX 77054 (near the NRG Stadium)

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm (Schedule could change)

Job Duties:

Administer vaccines in community settings to ensure children, adolescents and adults are immunized in a timely manner. Participates in special projects, outreach events, quality improvement projects, organized by the Health Department, the Immunization Bureau in Collaboration with external partners to improve health in the community. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Must be flexible to travel to all HHD Health Centers as needed.

Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and comply with AP 2-2 policy.

Requires a high school diploma or GED certificate and graduation from a school of vocational or practical nursing. EXPERIENCE: One year of nursing experience is required. Must have a current vocational nursing license from the State of Texas.
