Care 4 You Senior Services is looking for a License Vocational Nurse to join our team!

Care 4 You Senior Services is a provider of Home Health and Hospice Healthcare locted in Houston, Texas. We are a local family operated organization; we serve our patients by bringing committed healthcare professonals that provide care in the comfort of their home.

The LVN is a licenced vocational nurse is a healthcare professional that provides nursing care.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing wound care, and monitoring vital signs.

- Assist with patient assessments and document patient information accurately.

- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.

- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques.

- Administer treatments and procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, and laboratory specimen collection.

- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

- Assist with family planning and provide support for patients with developmental disabilities.

Skills:

- Proficient in ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation.

- Experienced in catheterization procedures for urinary management.

- Skilled in taking vital signs accurately and interpreting the results.

- Knowledgeable in working with individuals with developmental disabilities to provide appropriate care and support.

- Familiarity with family planning methods and counseling techniques.

- Ability to administer medication through various routes, including oral, intramuscular, and intravenous.

- Competent in providing alimentation through tube feeding methods.

- Strong patient care skills, including empathy, compassion, and effective communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.14 - $30.70 per hour
