USUI International is Hiring an Engineering Technician | 1st | SVP Near Sharonville, OH
- Perform tests in either component or in vehicle according to customers or engineering requirements. Performs standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and records and analyzes results. Records data from testing in standard formats and provides results to product and engineering teams
- Prepare, troubleshoot, perform/support instrumentation activities for both internal and to customer
- Build and maintain test fixtures for the testing environment
- Assists technical teams with recommendations to resolve testing problems, roadblocks or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing.
- Troubleshoot and maintain various test equipment to IATF standards
- Coordinate and conduct testing with engineering
- Support prototype development activities as necessary
- Compile data and generate test reports including light statistical analysis where appropriate
- Support/Lead Scrap reduction and cost savings initiatives
- Support APQP needs for multiple programs including customer interface
- Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment
- Incumbents may provide training and guidance to less experienced employees
- Assist/Lead process improvements including Kaizen activities
- Travel when necessary
- All other duties as assigned by management
- Two-year (minimum), accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of automotive experience
- Familiar with troubleshooting equipment, such as analogue, digital scopes, multi meters, power supplies, etc.
- Familiarity with Mathlab or Arimes plus
- Working experience of personal computers generating data base analysis
- Excellent organization and communication skills to lead APQP tasks
- Be detail oriented and adhere to customer schedule for multiple projects
- Ability to work independently and communicate directly with customer
- Ability to meet deadlines
