Job Summary
The School of Education at theUniversity of Southern Mississippi (USM) invites applicants for new afull-time, visiting instructor position beginning in August 2021. This is anexciting opportunity to work with students from across the nation in a growing,diverse educational administration and leadership program. The EducationalAdministration graduate program faculty currently provide training withconcentration in K-12 building and district level administration. We are especially interested in candidateswhose training backgrounds include bridging research and practice, working withdiverse P-12 populations, and analyzing P-12 achievement data, as well as P-12leadership. Our faculty have established records of scholarship in theareas of leadership development, conflict management, and school board andsuperintendent relations. We aim torecruit applicants who will provide impactful instruction, and who willemphasize training graduate students to become productive and thoughtfulpractitioners. The School of Education’s Educational Administration programsinclude a Master of Education degree, an Education Specialist degree, aDoctor of Education degree, and a Doctor of Philosophydegree. Program delivery includes face-to-face, online, and hybridformats. Qualified applicants will be preparedto contribute to the teaching mission of the School of Education at thegraduate level.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Teaching and mentoring students across programs.
  2. Demonstrating an understanding of cultural competence.
  3. Contributing to the mission of the university and profession through service activities.
  4. Performs other duties as assigned.
