US Defense Contract Management Agency is Hiring a Management Assistant Near Lakewood, CO

Duties

  • Serves as a Management Assistant in a Contract Management Office (CMO) within Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) with primary responsibility for providing administrative and technical support to the Commander/Director and Deputy.
  • Serves as the CMO's information liaison for and between the workforce and higher headquarters on matters such as VIP visits, employee illness and deaths in the family.
  • Provides a variety of administrative and timely support services for the CMO.
  • Manages office functional areas, monitors and controls activities relating to the Commander's office operations.
  • Maintains the Commander/Directors and Deputy's calendars and schedules appointments based upon personal knowledge of workload.
  • Inputs time and attendance for employees under direct supervision of the Deputy.

Qualifications

To qualify for a(n) Management Assistant, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
  • Working in an office setting and providing various administrative functions, such as: preparing reports and correspondence, organizing and scheduling meetings, prepare reports, charts, and/or graphs, and creating and updating automated databases.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

  • Highly-Qualified: This category will be used for those candidates who possess the type and quality of experience that substantially exceeds the minimum qualifications of the position, including all selective placement factors and appropriate quality ranking factor(s) as determined by the job analysis. To be Highly-Qualified, the candidates are considered by the Human Resources Office and the selecting official as being highly proficient in all the requirements of the job and can perform effectively in the position almost immediately or with a minimum amount of training and/or orientation. Those that have a cut-off score 97 and above and demonstrate in their resume they possess the competencies to perform effectively.
  • Well-Qualified: The next lower category (Well-Qualified) will be used for those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications of the position and are proficient in some, but not all, of the requirements of the position. Candidates may require some training but not in all areas. Those that have a cut-off score 80 to 96, and have demonstrated in their resume they possess the competencies to perform proficiently.
  • Qualified: This category will be used for the candidates that only meet the basic requirements and eligibilities. Candidates may require extensive training and/or orientation in order to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position. Those that have a cut-off score 70 to 79 and possess the competencies.
Names of the candidates in the Highly-Qualified category will be sent first to the hiring manager for employment consideration. Applicants in other categories will be referred in accordance with category rating procedures.
