Uptown Jungle Fun Park is Hiring a Sales Representative Near Tempe, AZ

Uptown Jungle Salesperson

Uptown Jungle Fun Park is seeking a bilingual (Spanish & English) salesperson to work in the west side of Phoenix, AZ. The sales position will cover three Uptown Jungle locations in Laveen, Peoria, and Avondale. This position also includes supporting the party sales center by answering party requests, building party experiences, and working to maximize every sale.

About Uptown Jungle Fun Park

In 2014, Uptown Jungle Fun Park opened its first location in Santee, CA. Since then it’s been busy thrilling customers, expanding the brand, and making profits. The second location was opened in Mesa, AZ seeing over 1,000 people a day during its first spring and summer. The third location in Murrieta, CA, opened in January of 2018, and saw over 6,000 people walk through the doors during it’s opening weekend. Since then, it’s created 6 new locations throughout California, Arizona, and Nevada, along with plans to open in Utah. Uptown Jungle prides itself on an ideal niche market of children ages 2 to 13 and does a large part of its business in birthday parties. Trampoline parks are fun, but we wanted to design a concept that provided enough fun for all ages that not only would a child not run out of fun but would want to continually come back. Uptown Jungle prides itself in its three quality standards: Safety, Cleanliness, and UJX (customer experience), and focuses on its key values: Culture, Employee Development, and Profitability. It looks to expand across the nation and become known as one of the best family entertainment centers in the nation. Our fans love our indoor play parks for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and wide variety of heart pumping attractions designed to wear kids out. From climbing walls, to trampolines and interactive play structures, Uptown Jungle has it all. We add a wink of fun to whatever we do and have created a positive workplace that's committed to helping our employees find true joy and fulfillment in their jobs.

Responsibilities

The salesperson will take on the western part of Phoenix. This would include the three Uptown Jungle locations in Laveen, Peoria, and Avondale. This position would work with community organizations to sell Uptown Jungle’s offering of playtime and parties to churches, schools, youth groups, sports teams, leagues, businesses, scouts, online groups, clubs, youth organizations, homeschool groups and other partnerships. The salesperson answers and responds to party requests for all the parks. They build party experiences for the guests and work to maximize every party sale. This position constantly works to improve their phone and selling skills. This position tracks their success and works closely with a team to achieve team goals.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Organization

· Properly use and organize CRM system to maintain contact with all potential customers.

· Proactively build daily schedule to make best use of time, visits, and contacts.

· Communicate group bookings and availability with individual park teams.

· Set goals and benchmarks for all sales activities and efforts.

· Report daily and weekly efforts to the Director of Sales.

Sales

· Work with local businesses to book parties, team building, customer incentives, employee incentives.

· Following school appreciation giveaways from Uptown Jungle, perform follow-up visits to discuss fundraising opportunities and booking of field trips, fun fairs, and school events.

· Contact and network with PTSO/PTA leaders and members to book fundraisers and special outings for students.

· Work with other community youth groups such as Scouts, Boys & Girls Club, and YMCA to book group events and fundraisers.

· Contact youth sports teams and leagues to book end of the season parties.

· Work with other education groups such as preschools, daycares, and homeschool groups to book group events at the parks.

· Work with other community groups such as churches, first responders, and networking groups to book events, meetings, and parties at the park.

· Answer the party phone to not miss incoming calls.

· Answer any general questions guests may have.

· Effectively explain party packages and offerings to guests. Customize offerings to meet guests’ needs.

· Book parties on point-of-sale system.

· Communicate any unique needs or details through the point-of-sale system or directly to park management.

· Constantly look for ways to improve communication or sales skills. Seek feedback from supervisor and colleagues to improve and grow.

· Work to achieve team goals. Understand daily, weekly, and monthly goals and support the team to achieve them.

An ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

· Friendly: unafraid to approach strangers, memorable

· Resilient and a team player

· Bilingual in English and Spanish is required

An ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

· Computer skills, proficient in Microsoft programs Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· 2 years’ experience in sales.

· Exceptional communication skills.

· Great connections and the ability to network in the west side of Phoenix. We are looking for someone that has strong contacts and local knowledge to be able to excel in outside sales and community outreach. This person would be very familiar with local schools, sports leagues, non-profits, youth organizations, and our core customer base of young families. A candidate with these types of connections and experience will have much higher consideration than those that do not.

This is a full-time, salaried position. The schedule is mostly Monday through Friday but may require some weekends and evenings depending on sales opportunities.

This position reports to the Director of Sales.

This position primarily works from home and requires travel.

Mileage will be reimbursed at the standard IRS rate.

Base Salary: $40,000 to $50,000 annually, depending on experience.

Bonus structure: a specified percentage of sales that grows as sales grows.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
