Upstate Caring Partners is Hiring a Human Resource Specialist Near Utica, NY

Pay $58,469 - $61,000 annually 

Partner with assigned teams to establish and implement HR strategies that foster HR performance in the areas of employment, performance management, employee relations, and general liaison for all staff and administrators in assigned department(s).

Core Responsibilities 

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Must have and maintain working knowledge of employee relations, coaching and counseling employees, and federal, state and local employment laws. 
  • Visits programs to develop a thorough knowledge of the operations and culture. 
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to (coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR department to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Assists in the credentialing process for all new and existing employees based on regulatory requirements.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Labor Relations, Business Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in Human Resource related activities; five years preferred.
  • Travel is required. Must have valid NYS Driver’s License.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Be self-directed and motivated.
