Upstate Caring Partners is Hiring a Behavioral Health Specialist Near Utica, NY

Pay $22.00 / an hour

The Behavioral Health Specialist position will support initiatives that improve quality, patient care, and engage patients in behavioral health (BH) division. This position serves as a member of the quality team and will routinely conduct quality reviews and feedback to the leadership team to support overall quality of service delivery. The Behavioral Health Specialist will work through collaboration and networking with BH division in order to achieve its overall mission.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conducts file and record reviews for quality and compliance. 
  • Recommend, conducts and facilitates trainings, as deemed necessary based on QA findings.
  • Conducts targeted record reviews when needed.
  • Works closely with program leaders to identify and develop standards of documentation that meet regulatory criteria and established program policies.
  • Maintain an understanding of all current regulations and program specific policies to support QA process. 
  • Review standard operating procedures that support policy and regulations for any areas identified as an opportunity. 
  • Participates in special projects related to Clinical/Quality of program
  • Participates in the design, and analysis of training to assure compliance and enhance quality.
  • Assist in regulatory reviews, as deemed necessary
  • Assists in ensuring services are rendered in accordance with all federal, state, insurance and Agency regulations.

  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor level degree required, can be replaced by licensure such as LPN, RN and substantial work history.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting with a focus on quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Valid NYS Drivers license.
