SUMMARYThe Photo Manager staffs and leads Upper Deck’s Upper Deck’s team of Photo Editors while assigning, tracking, and managing the group’s scheduled workflow against master production schedules. The Photo Manager also collaborates with cross-functional department managers to resolve issues that arise, refine processes, and improve lines of communication throughout the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.Schedules, assigns and tracks the Photo Department’s workflow against deadlines in the master production schedulesAssesses Photo Department production capacity, anticipating staffing requirements and providing data-driven reports to upper managementResponsible for establishing and managing within department’s annual operating budgetDevelops and refines training SOPs for department wherever needed.Identifies process, software and hardware issues that arise and takes appropriate steps for resolution INTERACTIONDirectly manages and supports team of Photo Editors by providing daily problem resolution, prioritization of workflows and acting as department’s primary point of contactWorks closely with cross-functional departmental managers to improve efficiency of workflows and resolve process issues that ariseInterfaces regularly with upper management to provide reports on departmental performance, challenges, and anticipated needsEDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE3 years of experience managing diverse teams in a deadline-focused environment.3 years experience in working closely with cross-functional teamsBackground in photography and/or content management.Some experience working with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and Adobe Illustrator is preferredBachelor's degree in Business Administration, or equivalent field is a plusKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESExcellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.Effective multi-tasker with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects while maintaining strong attention to detail.Professional demeanor with the ability to interface with internal and external parties at all levels.Good problem solving and conflict resolution skillsFamiliarity with MS Office, including Microsoft Excel, is preferred.Ability to maintain flexible work hours and work overtime as required.Occasional travel on behalf of the Company.
