University of Texas at El Paso is Hiring a Coordinator of Engagement Activity Tracking Near El Paso, TX

The Coordinator of Engagement Activity Tracking will lead and provide overall management of information to track active and engaging faculty activities and participation in the UTEP Edge. The Edge promotes High Impact Practices in and out of the classroom using an asset-based philosophy. These experiences provide Edge advantages (e.g., problem-solving, communication, and teamwork), which give students a competitive advantage in college, the workplace, and graduate school. The coordinator will work directly with faculty, the Office of the Provost leadership, and other departments across the university to produce student, faculty, department, and college reports to assess the impact and scale of efforts. These reports will also document, promote, and celebrate the work of faculty in fostering engaged learning opportunities that lead to improved student outcomes. This position is funded through a five-year U.S. Department of Education Title V grant.

Essential Functions

Reporting to the Director of Faculty Activity Reporting, this position also collaborates with the Director of the Center for Faculty Leadership and Development, Director of the Community Engagement Center, Director of the UTEP Edge, CyberShare Research Specialist, Director of the Center for Institutional Evaluation, Research, and Planning, Office of the Provost leadership and others to develop a comprehensive plan for increasing the quality of data collection for assessment and evaluation.

Coordinates development and promotion of instructional materials, as well as professional development training on the engagement activity and faculty productivity tracking tools used at the University (e.g., the Engage tool) to increase adoption by faculty, staff, and departments. Ensures stakeholders have informed reports on activities to celebrate success and promote bright spots.

Communicates with stakeholders to identify, develop, and refine data and reports that best serve staff, faculty, departments, and colleges.

Collaborates with system administrators and/or technical teams to regularly evaluate the engagement activity and faculty productivity tracking tools (e.g., the Engage tool) for enhancements and to increase adoption.

Supports initiatives and collaborative efforts to address redundancy between information management systems at the university, working to improve information consistency and user experience.

Stays abreast of national trends on high-impact practices and other approaches to improving active and engaged learning to shape continuous improvement.

Actively participates in committees as needed.

Maintains knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and ability to learn and use institutional software systems.

Complies with all State and University policies.

Completes special assignments as requested.

Supervisory Responsibilities Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's objectives, policies, and applicable laws.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Three years of experience related to the statement of duties and responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some traveling is required.

Advanced knowledge and experience using MS Excel
