The Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin seeks to develop a pool of candidates at the rank of lecturer or senior lecturer for possible temporary/non-tenure track, part-time positions to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Positions are part-time, contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of funding, and are not available every year. Assignments are usually made on a semester-by-semester basis. Positions are annually renewable, contingent on funding and performance.
A PhD in engineering or a related field is required, but exceptions can be made for applicants with a Master's degree and pertinent expertise and work experience. Previous teaching and/or training experience is preferred. SALARY: Dependent on position and qualifications.
