The Department of Middle Eastern Studies at The University of Texas at Austin seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/non-tenure track positions to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Positions are not available every semester and are contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of funding. Appointments are normally made on a semester-by-semester basis, though sometimes a yearlong appointment may be made. Positions are renewable annually, contingent upon funding and performance.
A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience relevant to the Middle East is preferred.
Candidates should submit a CV and three original letters of reference.
