UNM’s Family Development Program (FDP) is seeking to hire a Program Specialist who is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized with efficient planning and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to change. This successful candidate will be an important point of contact for scheduling family summits across the state and supporting the Early Childhood efforts. This person must maintain positive relationships, have a proactive work ethic, ability to solve problems, and be willing to support the FDP office staff and team.

-Provide Administrative and Logistical Support for Family Leadership and Engagement Regional Summits throughout the state
-To develop agendas, secure speakers, and create surveys in partnership with ECECD. As well as secure venues and travel statewide.
-In collaboration the ECECD Communications team, develop and implement a marketing campaign to the public via social media and other media outlets.
-Strong knowledge in Windows-based systems (zoom, excel, outlook, word, etc.)

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

-Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining supportive work relationships in a culturally sensitive manner.
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish trust and rapport with members of diverse communities
-Ability to travel statewide.
-Holds a valid NM driver’s license.
-Technology skills including virtual learning and facilitation, Word processing, spreadsheet and data management skills.
-Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
-Ability to work successfully both independently with professional discretion and in a collaborative team environment
