The position will report to the Director of the Professional & Career Development Center of the School of Law.

Job Description

This position supports and coordinates activities of the Professional & Career Development Center at the School of Law, which offers employer services and career planning and professional development services for law students and alumni. Functioning as the Program Manager I, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Working with the team (Program Manager I and Sr. Student Services Coordinator of Career Services) to plan and implement student programs and services offered by the Law School's Office of Career Services;
* Managing a Career Development Program for law students;
* Assisting in the American Bar Association and National Association of Law Placement data collection processes;
* Advising and assisting law students and alumni with resume writing, cover letter writing, mock interviewing and interview strategies, career planning, and search strategies;
* Collecting data and preparing reports;
* Working effectively with students, alumni, colleagues, other departments, professional associations, and employers.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

* A Juris Doctor Degree or a master's degree in Guidance and Counseling or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Experience in career advising is necessary, but can be met by counseling of interns, clerks or junior associates.

* Superior interpersonal, administrative, and computer skills are essential. Knowledge of the legal profession, trends in legal employment opportunities, connections with the legal community, and a genuine interest in helping students and alumni are necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$50,367 - $60,367 annually commensurate, with education, experience, and internal equity.
