General Summary:

The Enrollment Management Operations and Analyst Assistant will work closely with the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management and Executive Director of Financial Aid Services to provide both operational reporting and analytical needs and also assist with technical business processes and functions of the Financial Aid Services office. The incumbent must have knowledge of relational database concepts, data analysis and visualization, advanced research methods, and a broad comprehension of higher education, particularly the areas of enrollment, admissions and financial aid. This position is responsible for designing and writing reports, analyzing data, and summarizing information related to enrollment management and financial aid. They will also work closely with the University’s Central IT Office, to establish, monitor and synchronize financial aid batch processing. The Enrollment Management Operations and Analyst Assistant will extract data from multiple systems including PeopleSoft, Summit, our data warehouse, and our Slate CRM system.

Examples of Duties:

    Responsible for designing and writing reports, analyzing data, and summarizing information related to enrollment management and financial aid
    • .
    • Will work closely with the University’s Central IT Office, to establish, monitor and synchronize financial aid batch processing
    • .
    • Extract and analyze data from multiple systems including PeopleSoft, Summit, our data warehouse, and our Slate CRM system
    • .
    • Support technical business processes and functions, as well as the use of technology, within the Financial Aid Services (FAS) office
    • .
    • Contribute to and support weekly automated packaging processes and aid disbursement
    • .
    • Analyze financial aid and merit scholarship strategies to inform effective distribution of funds, adherence to tuition discount and net revenue goals, and opportunities to minimize attrition due to student financial concerns
    • .
    • Assist the divisions efforts to better understand direct competitors in the field by analyzing National Clearinghouse data for non-matriculated admits and withdrawn students to inform and support student recruitment, engagement, retention, and re-enrollment strategies
    • .
    • Assist with analytical needs within and across Enrollment Management, including trend analysis, ad hoc reports and forecasting
    • .
    • Produce executive-level reports and analysis
    • .
    • Complete projects as assigned by the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management, or his/her designee, on an ongoing basis

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. Minimum of five years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated experience in quantitative research methodology and data analysis as well as a comprehensive understanding of financial aid packaging policies and practices. Strong background in applied use of various statistical tools (e.g., SPSS, SAS, SQL, SQR, Access, Excel) desired. Experience extracting and using data for analysis and business processing purposes is required. Experience working with complex files/tables and relational databases. Knowledge of and experience with PeopleSoft required.
