Position Summary:
Through excellence and leadership in patient care, education and research, the Department of Urology provides its patients with the absolute best in innovative, less invasive urological care; its residents with a superb curriculum based on educational and operative training experience; and its faculty with every opportunity to excel clinically while teaching and pursuing research both a basic and clinical nature.
The incumbent will provide general administrative support for the Department and the Department's Educational needs. Individual will be responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of the daily operational functions associated with administrative, teaching, research and other services for education programs.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $27.34 - $39.18 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $27.34 - $39.18 (Hourly Rate).

Required:
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Science in related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of campus and hospital administration, faculty, staff, patients, and the public while maintaining strict confidentiality on sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy; experience working in an academic, medical or research setting
  • Previous experience working in a University environment Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Skills to compose correspondence.
  • Fast and accurate typing with emphasis on accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Profeicient experience working with Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint graphics software.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage ongoing, multiple tasks and deal with deadlines in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to accurately track complicated calendars and follow through multiple tasks meeting deadlines.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with UC policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Medical transcription Ability to develop slide presentations, use scanning, LCD projector and other wireless devices
