Position Highlights
The Research Technician II will be involved an epidemiological project examining psychosocial stress and 911 calls for cardiac arrests in NYC. They will perform analyses will involve R programming and creating online dashboards. The candidate will produce a scientific manuscript during the position period.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Under supervision, collect, examine and preprocess research data to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis in R, including exploratory data analysis for a metric of psychosocial stress (game excitability derived from sports games) and its association with risk of 911 calls for cardiac arrests in NYC using open datasets and R programming.
- Under supervision, create clear and informative data visualizations, plots, and charts to help researchers understand and present their findings effectively to be used for a manuscript.
- Collaborate with researchers to develop and maintain R scripts and workflows to streamline data analysis processes and enhance efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- R programming,
- Big data analytics.
- Epidemiology.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
BA or equivalent degree in statistics and data science.
