The Research Technician II position involves working with low-cost sensors and wearable technologies. With low-cost sensors, it will involve their calibration with reference monitors, generating calibration equations, and their siting at outside/inside locations. With wearable technologies, it will involve obtaining IRB approvals and their testing. Data analysis will involve leading the linking of sensor and wearable technology output data by location and time.

• Under supervision, conduct sensor calibration with reference monitors and generate calibration curves using R ensuring accuracy and adherence to research protocols.
• Under supervision, initiate IRB writing and application process and wearable technology testing ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to institutional and regulatory guidelines.
• Under supervision, conduct data linkages between sensor and wearable data by location and time to derive meaningful insights from experimental data and contribute to research findings.
• Collect and install sensors in outdoor/indoor locations across Tucson. Ensure proper configuration and calibration of sensors to meet data accuracy standards.
