The Montfort laboratory at the University of Arizona is seeking a motivated scientist to assist in laboratory management and macromolecular structure/function studies as part of an NIH funded project. The position is part time (20 hrs/week) Extended Temporary.

• Production of protein crystals for structural analyses. Works on the collection of data and analysis of research results. Assist in the development of grant applications and preparation of reports of research results.
• General laboratory management including maintaining equipment and ordering supplies. Provide assistance in the coordination of programs and projects. Trains users on equipment operation and research techniques.
• Participate in expression, purification and characterization of proteins from bacterial or mammalian cells. Conducts components of research projects according to plan.
