University Clinical Health is Hiring a Human Resource Business Partner Near Memphis, TN

Position Summary:

The successful Human Resources Business Partner will act as a consultant/business advisor, employee advocate, and change agent on human resources matters, including employee relations and engagement. This role formulates human resources tactics and strategies and will continuously develop strong partnerships with leadership and employees to deliver value-added service to management and employees. 

Key Results Areas (KRAs):

  • Partners with UCH business units to increase the organization’s strategic and day-to-day operations to provide valuable Human Resources perspective to support organization’s goals, including employee relations, training, and coaching 
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations 
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, mitigating risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance 
  • Works closely with business unit leaders and employees to improve employee relations and talent retention 
  • Reviews and recommends HR policies and procedures; prepares, updates, and maintains UCH handbook in partnership with General Counsel
  • Monitors and analyzes HR data/statistics and trends and partners with assigned business groups to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on Human Resources business unit and UCH organizational needs 

Requirements

  • Demonstrated achievements in coaching and advising on varied talent topics, including employee experience, employee relations, performance management, rewards and recognition, talent management, employment & legal requirements, people systems, and compensation and benefits.
  • Proven track record of strong consultative results, developing consistent, equitable, and innovative solutions that can be scaled across the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Analytical and Problem-solving skills
  • Experience leveraging past experience to support business decisions working in a complex and ambiguous environment 
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the Human Resources business unit and UCH
  • Adheres to University Clinical Health and departmental policies and procedures, including attendance standards

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and human resources-related experience (10 years)
  • PHR/SPHR a plus but not required
  • 5 to 7 years of previous human resources experience solving complex human resources matters
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Advanced computer skills with high proficiency in MS Suite of products, including intermediate/advanced Excel skills
