TITLE: Human Resources Specialist (Classification)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Draft and finalize Position Descriptions 80% Collects needed information from management officials, subject matter specialists and other sources and draft employee specific and standard position descriptions. Evaluates and determines the proper title, pay plan, occupational series, grade, supervisory, FLSA, position sensitivity, and bargaining unit classifications in the GS, SES, and Wage Board pay plans; prepare detailed and comprehensive evaluation statements documenting the basis for these determinations as needed and requested. Prepares Position Designation of Record (PDR) in accordance with the Position Designation tool. Desk Audits-10% Conducts desk audits and similar efforts to collect relevant position information. Responds to classification appeals by collecting relevant position information and providing classification analyses. Administrative Duties 10% Completes related administrative requirements for record keeping. Performs all other similar/related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
