Are you a seasonedleader with a passion for optimizing pharmacy operations? We'reseeking a dynamic Pharmacy Operations Director to spearhead theefficiency and quality of our pharmacy department. In this pivotalrole, you'll collaborate closely with patients, healthcare providers,and client partners, leveraging your expertise to drive success in ahigh-volume pharmacy environment.
KeyResponsibilities:
Pharmacy OperationalManagement:
- Direct andoptimize both frontend and backend pharmacy operations, ensuringseamless daily activities.
- Innovate andrefine operational workflows to enhance efficiency and maintaintop-tier employee performance.
- Utilize keyperformance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint improvement opportunitiesand implement strategic solutions.
- Ensure strictcompliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentorpharmacy staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Providecomprehensive training and development initiatives for personnelgrowth.
- Develop workforcemanagement tools to ensure optimal staffing levels and utilization.
- Conductperformance evaluations and address any performance issuesproactively.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate withexecutive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans alignedwith organizational goals.
- Contributeinsights on industry trends and advancements to inform strategicdecision-making.
Budget Management:
- Develop andoversee the pharmacy budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Implementcost-saving measures while upholding the quality of pharmaceuticalservices.
- Manage policiesand procedures related to inventory, prescription processing, andmore.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish andmaintain rigorous quality assurance processes to uphold the accuracyand safety of pharmaceutical services.
- Drive continuousimprovement initiatives to elevate the quality of pharmacyoperations.
- Ensure compliancewith legal and ethical guidelines, safeguarding patientconfidentiality.
Collaboration:
- Maintainprofessionalism in all internal and client-facing interactions.
- Serve as the mainpoint of contact for pharmacy operations with internal teams andexternal clients.
- Facilitate theimplementation of new business opportunities, providing valuablefeedback and insights.
Technology:
- Leverage pharmacymanagement software and technology to streamline operations.
- Evaluate andimplement strategies to enhance automation and efficiency.
- Ensure proficientuse of pharmacy management systems and other software tools.
Must-HaveRequirements:
- Bachelor's oradvanced degree in Pharmacy or a related field (PharmD preferred).
- Minimum 7 years ofproven experience in pharmacy operations management and/or deliveryoperations.
- 5 years ofexperience in the healthcare industry.
- Current,unrestricted KY Pharmacist License.
- Previouspersonnel/team management experience.
- Additional statelicensure preferred.
- Strong leadershipand interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge ofhealthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Excellentorganizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility totravel as needed.
