OFFICE MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Major Responsibilities: Day-to-day management and organization of the church office and church’s administrative needs. The Office Manager will report directly to, and give priority to tasks assigned by the Senior Pastor.
Qualifications/Skills:
· An active and deep Christian faith
· Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint; Canva, Wordpress, Mailchimp, G-Suite including Gmail and Google Drive, Facebook and Instagram a plus
· Strong customer service skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Reliable and respectful
· Strong collaborator with members of the congregation and staff
· Able to maintain confidentiality of information
· General understanding of United Methodist structure
· Must have completed High School or equivalent
Duties and Responsibilities:
· The position is for part-time employment (20 hours per week) Office hours are from 9AM-1PM Monday – Friday. Busy times of year (i.e. Christmas and Easter) may require extra hours.
· The Office Administrator manages the front desk: answer phone calls, greet guests, schedule appointments, maintain church calendars including but not limited to facility rentals, meetings, special events, etc.; manage incoming and outgoing mail, order supplies, keep office schedule, maintain the general appearance of the office, and exude a spirit of welcome and caring to all who enter or call.
· Maintain office files: copying, filing, and maintaining church records and data including membership records, directory, and general files
· Draft correspondence as well as print letters and mailings including occasional bulk mailings, manage church’s e-mail and phone messages
· Manage the day-to-day operation of the copier and postage machine
· Coordinate weekly Liturgist and Greeter schedules
· General Administrative support to church staff and volunteers
· Schedule and manage building use by church and outside groups including the monitoring of payments received, updating of contracts, distribution of keys, and instructions regarding security of building
· Liaison with the Property Manager regarding building use schedule and any needs of outside groups
· Production of monthly newsletter, weekly bulletin, bulletins for special services
· Update church website and calendar on a weekly basis
· Assist Finance Committee with making sure supplier bills and invoices are paid on time, assist with counting when needed, deposit weekly offering to the bank, input giving data to Breeze
· Attend monthly staff meetings
· Communicate with various news and publicity outlets for worship and events
· Order and maintain necessary office supplies
· Other tasks as directed by the Senior Pastor
Compensation:
Average 20 hours per week
Compensation: $17.50 per hour

10 Paid Vacation Days per year, request must be submitted in advance to the Senior Pastor, days may not be carried over into subsequent years.
3 Paid Sick Days per year
The Church Office will be closed for the following Public Holidays:
