Since 2013, our site Unither Manufacturing LLC. based in Rochester (NY), specializes in the manufacture of Blow-Fill-Seal, Liquid Stick-Packs, Pharmaceutical bottles, Tablets and Capsules. It has more than 280 employees.

Your role

Reporting to the HR and HSE Director

Thisrole is the site-level, strategic and hands-on lead for the development andimplementation of training, and talent development projects and programs toenhance employees’ skills and performance. It also designs and drives DEI,Belonging and Retention projects and programs. While primarily leading, some day-to-daytactical support for program creation and delivery expected, although the HRCoordinator will support. Change management and managing through influenceactivity ongoing. Partner closely with leadership and onsite SMEs for effectiveknowledge transfer to drive human performance within a compliance andregulations structure. Full site level solutiondevelopment including communication plans, implementation, adoption, evaluation,and sustaining activities. Site HR and HSE Director to sponsor, support andpartner with this role’s objectives. Evaluation and proof of change with ROIfocus essential.
ESSENTIALDUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training Development (Note: 50% of balanceinitially until adopted and sustained by site; then management, updates perregulations, and continuous improvement)
Lead and partner with the business to develop and implement the new training system/structure for the site’s GMP and non-GMP areas.
Facilitate and manage all aspects of new hire training beginning with Orientation and Onboarding of new hires, providing them all the training needed to enhance their effectiveness and understand the organization’s people practices and processes.
Manage the end-to-end training development process, including training design, content, tools, and delivery.
Provide management and direction of the resources assigned to or supporting training including supervision of any directly assigned staff and oversight of the activities performed by indirectly assigned staff.
Participate in the oversight and maintenance of the site electronic Learning Management System.
Develop, maintain, and report metrics designed to provide leading and lagging indicators of the performance of the Training System and training effectiveness.
Create, review, and/or approve documentation such as standards, procedures, reports, and training materials associated with implementation and subsequent maintenance of the training system.
Once implemented, maintain the training system and the associated elements in accordance with current regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Work with manager to prepare the annual training budget for the site.
Work with the site management and leadership teams to identify and prioritize training needs, provide possible solutions, and manage costs.
Work with managers to identify the gap between current performance (at either the individual, process, or department levels) and desired performance.Recommend solutions where training is the appropriate activity to close the gap.
DEI and Belonging Development, Retentionand Engagement Development
Develop and execute strategic plan for DEI with Inclusion and Belonging being the goal.
Sponsored by HR and HSE Director to build out programs and transform our employee experience.
Lead talent acquisition strategy to align with the plan; partner with HR team for execution of branding, DEI, Retention and Engagement.
Educate, train and champion how to align this with business strategic goals including building capacity, productivity and innovation.
End goal and objectives to be mutually beneficial (business and employees).
Talent Development
Partners with business leadership including the HR & HSE Director, and Group HR (corporate) to define the impact of strategic business objectives on people requirements and develop HR strategies and initiatives that support achievement of business objectives.
Partners with senior managers to ensure appropriate identification of current and future talent needs, high potential employees, performance expectations and competencies.
Assists managers in developing or maintaining skills necessary to drive high employee performance, and appropriately communicate achievement and improvement opportunities to employees.
Drives best practices around the design and implementation of effective roles, structures, and management systems. Provides for the assistance, plans and procedures necessary to define individual jobs, objectives and standards, and performance reviews across the organization.
Directs a process of organizational development that primarily addresses role progression, career pathing, succession planning throughout. Makes recommendations to senior management. Strategically determine alignment to compensation structure.
Facilitates the design of structures and reporting relationships that match organization strategies and goals.
Drives appropriate work analysis and job design/redesign to establish clear standards for excellent performance (e.g., job descriptions, competencies, etc.).
HR Systems
Partner with HR team to offer wholistic solutions that are primarily automated and managed through LMS and other identified HRIS systems.
Champion of LMS and other identified HRIS systems including coaching, training, and development of users.
Lead reporting and other analytics for projecting outcomes and evaluating solution effectiveness.
Ensure documented process and robust practical guidance tools developed, provided, and managed for all related activities.

Your profile

REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree required in Organizational Development, Human Resources Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or closely related discipline. Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
Formal Project Management training and/or certification preferred.
CTPD certification strongly preferred.
Additional or supplemental talent assessment and leadership development certifications preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Extensive training management experience, preferably in a GMP or other highly regulated environment.
Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in a clean room environment desired.
Experience conducting training needs assessments and recommending training solutions required.
Training and development evaluation experience using model or best practices framework required.
Experience with Learning Management Systems and content development tools required.
Expertise in adult learning theory and curriculum development required.
Leadership development and group dynamics proficiency and experience strongly preferred.
OTHERSKILLS:
Strong Change Agent proficiency and capability.
This position requires the ability to comprehend and interpret current Good Manufacturing Practices for translation into effective training programs.
Ability to understand pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratory operations, and the associated Quality Systems requirements for translation into effective training programs.
Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
Analytical skills to assess needs, propose solutions, and perform make vs. buy analyses.
Effective project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard MSOffice computer applications.
Ability to anticipate and prioritize multiple priorities from multiple sources and to switch direction quickly is required.
Must be customer service and efficiency focused.
Position requires the ability to influence others toward desired outcomes. Strong solutions focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
Talent development needs analysis, design, and execution including role progression, succession planning and talent reviews which align to business strategy and compensation structure.
