We are looking for an ambitious Staff Accountant to support the Senior Accounting Manager and the Accounting/Finance department. You are expected to maintain order and transparency in the company’s finances.

Preparing financial statements, bookkeeping, and other business-related reports is a large part of the junior accountant’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Update accounts payable
• Balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Help create relevant financial analysis, KPI’s and other related metrics
• Assist in preparation of managerial reports
• Assist in audit preparation and PBC requests
• Other special projects

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field required
• CPA candidate a plus
• Minimum 4 years of experience as an entry-level Accountant
• Hands on experience with accounting software required
• ERP experience a plus (NetSuite preferred)
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles including GAAP
• Stong skills with MS excel (V-lookups, PIVOT tables, embedded formulas)
• Skills with MS Office suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
