We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team in the Tech industry. This role is designed for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who is ready to take on challenges in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment. The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in financial planning, budgeting, and accounting functions. They will also be responsible for performing complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements. If you have a knack for numbers and a passion for the Tech industry, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the accounting cycle.
2. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.
3. Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
4. Review and process expense reports and invoices, maintaining accurate records and control reports.
5. Assist in budget preparation and management activities.
6. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
7. Develop and implement effective accounting strategies and policies.
8. Ensure that all financial data adheres to current tax laws and regulations.
9. Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
10. Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial planning software.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
5. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
