Ultimus Fund Solutions is Hiring a Remote VP, Marketing

SUMMARY
The VP, Marketing is responsible for managing all corporate and business development marketing functions including the vision, strategy, and execution, working closely and in concert with the CEO and the EVP, Sales. Additionally, this role contributes to the ongoing growth and direction of the marketing activities while working with various departments across Ultimus.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
MARKETING STRATEGY
  • Collaborates with the CEO and Executive Sales team to develop and refine the marketing plan focused on developing and maintaining an overall company brand and supporting the go-to-market plan of the sales team.
  • Oversees the corporate brand standards and adherence to standards.
  • Manages a team, implementing the marketing strategy and market-specific initiatives, including branding, positioning, and messaging.
  • Manages corporate communication activities including press releases, thought leadership, and media relations.
  • Builds a high-functioning corporate marketing team, with the ability to seamlessly execute on all corporate communications, sales enablement, thought leadership, events, and digital marketing.
  • Oversees all aspects of budgeting, metrics, and reporting.
  • Supervises outside vendors (e.g., advertising, graphics, website, promotional, contracted marketing professionals, etc.)
PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT
  • Manages associates within department including, but not limited to, hiring, training, and developing associates, delegating work assignments, writing, and conducting performance appraisals, salary recommendations, coaching and counseling, and administering corrective actions.
  • Conducts one-on-one and team meetings with associates on a regular basis to discuss new procedures, problems, and issues.
  • Establishes team and individual goals for department.
  • Fosters performance of associates and the processes used by them; holds the associates accountable for their work.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
  • Contact as needed with clients regarding general information, resolution of issues, inquiries, or reporting requirements.
  • Contact with members of team and internal teams regarding follow-up on inquiries, open workflow, etc.
May perform other duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • 15 years of experience in a marketing role.
  • 3-5 years of management and leadership experience.
  • Experience working within the financial services industry.
KNOWLEDGE
  • Financial Services, FinTech, and B2B audiences.
  • Corporate marketing principles, branding, sales, and business development.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adobe Acrobat.

  • Presents and expresses ideas and information, written and oral, clearly, and concisely.

  • Modifies team and individual priorities and deadlines in response to added information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles and ensures completion.
