Job Description

The HR Director is responsible for the management of day-to-day HR functions including Recruitment, Employee Relations, Staff Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, Unemployment Benefits and Workers Compensation. The HR Director participates in the strategy, development, and implementation. The HR Director provides summaries on issues and trends, identifies opportunities, and creates plans for implementation of sound HR and agency wide best practices and legal compliance with federal, state and local guidelines. The HR Director is also responsible for providing recommendations to the CEO and Executive Leadership on Agency wide decision making.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

? Responsible for the management and implementation of the HR Strategic Plan

? Provide strategic leadership and coordination of the hiring, recruiting, retaining, and training of our workforce

? Responsible for the development of staff feedback through exit and stay surveys and other forms of input for continuous improvement

? Responsible for conducting and completing annual reviews and audits as required engaging both internal business partners across the organization and external resources

? Serve as the lead in managing legal Human Resources related matters throughout the Agency; from initial coordination, consultation with attorney, management during process, and post review for continuous improvement.

? Provide review and approval of all Personnel Policies and forms used throughout the agency

? Advance diversity and ensure compliance with non-discriminatory practices throughout the agency

? Manage the HR budget

? Oversee and manage HR related insurance policies

MINIMUM COMPETENCIES EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

? Minimum of a bachelor's degree with a concentration in human resources management and a Certificate in Human Resources (such as SHRM, aPHR, etc)

? Experience with direct day to day human resource operations

? A minimum of five years experience performing as a manager within Human Resources

? A minimum of five years of direct supervisory experience required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY

? Highly effective management and leadership skills

? Ability to effectively coach and teach in order to improve knowledge and ability of others, and holds staff accountable to results

? Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven and self-directed

? Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

? Thorough knowledge of all core functions of human resources

? Professional understanding of standard financial reports and data analysis

? Excellent computer skills: ADP Workforce Now, Excel, Adobe, Live Scan, Google and Microsoft Suites and the ability to evaluate and source new software as needed

? Adapt to Agency structure to advance strategic plans and direction

? Excellent oral and written communication skills
