Role Mission: 

As the Director of Business Development - Central , you will be responsible for generating additional revenue sources by expanding the company’s reach into the Central Region of the US. You must come into this role with existing, well-established relationships in this region specifically within the Luxury Travel Agency community. If you excel at curating immediate connections & building long-lasting relationships within the Travel industry, this role might just be for you!

You Will:

  1. Drive new client growth by building high level relationships and expanding existing VIP client segments within the Central Region. 
  2. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor analysis, and opportunities for growth.
  3. Maintain complete understanding and awareness of the Travel Industry’s competitive landscape and adjust strategy initiatives according to market needs and trends. 
  4. Manage National Accounts in your territory, including planning sales activities, attending trade events, and conducting FAM trips. 
  5. Collaborate with your Customer Success Manager (CSM) and sales team to ensure a seamless transition for our clients from prospect to repeat. 
  6. Proactively promote all UJV's product offerings and services by utilizing social media for brand awareness.
  7. Adhere to the budget, behavioral, and project management guidelines set forth by the Head of BD. 

You Have:

  1. 5 years of experience within the Luxury Travel industry holding either a sales or business development role. 
  2. Proven and tangible relationships with Travel Agencies within the Central Region. 
  3. The ability and willingness to travel 40-50% of the time to meet with clients, attend industry events, and represent the company.
  4. Demonstrated hunter mentality and a strong drive to achieve sales targets and exceed expectations through cold calling, networking, and lead generation.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  6. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take initiative to drive results.
