UHS of Delaware, Inc. is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near BROOKLINE, MA

Responsibilities

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Department, which includes applicant and new hire administration, recruiting for vacant positions, conducting general employee orientations, maintaining all personnel records and files, responding to correspondence, and other HR related duties. The Human Resources Generalist may assist in organizing employee activities and provide coordination of employee and staff development in-service training. Remains compliant with applicable state, federal, and licensing requirements, as well as other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

• Administers the Applicant Tracking system, including job requisitions, status changes and hiring of applicants.• Posts open job positions internally and externally on various websites.• Conducts interviews with applicants and coordinates interview times with the Hiring Managers to ensure that the timeframes are within policy.• Communicates with applicants regarding job offers or declinations, completes offer letters, and administers new hire paperwork.• Initiates drug screening process & TB testing, and requests and tracks background screenings• Coordinates all New Employee Orientations with managers/trainers, including agendas, dates, training materials and employee badges.

• Ensures that all new hires have all of the required paperwork completed with State, agency/surveyor and the Joint Commission guidelines.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a fast-paced Human Resources department and a Bachelor’s degree are required from an accredited college or university, preferably in Human Resources or related field of study.
  • Knowledgeable about Human Resources-related state and federal laws and regulations, especially in a healthcare environment, is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Comfortable working in various windows-based software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HR System Software, Applicant Tracking Software and other similar computer programs.
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities in an environment with regulatory deadlines.
