Performs moderately complex to difficult secretarial and clerical duties. Examples of work performed my include composing routine correspondence, preparing routine reports, scheduling meeting or appointments, arranging travel, screening and directing incoming calls, providing information, maintaining files, or transcribing dictation. Prepares documents using word processor or spreadsheet software; formats, proofs, edits for errors. May exercise judgment and initiative in routine matters.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
AA Degree, Secretarial Certification, Medical Terminology Certification.
Necessary Skills:
1. Strong interpersonal skills.
2. Ability to perform independently.
3. Well organized with knowledge of all aspects of office environment.
4. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point), working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook or comparable system.
5. Ability to type 55-60 words per minute with no more than three errors.
Required Experience:
3-5 years - Secretarial/Clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting.
Preferred Experience:
Five to Seven (5-7) years of secretarial/clerical experience in a medical setting.
