UCLA is Hiring a Program Specialist Near Los Angeles, CA

The LOSH Program Specialist supports LOSH staff in course coordination, training activities, program administration, and development of education materials for LOSH worker training activities in both English and Spanish. Gathers and organizes background materials to support materials development and training activities. Assists with course registrations, invoice processing, certificates, and other logistics. Supports LOSH trainers in preparing materials and supplies for upcoming courses. Provides logistical support to trainers during awareness-level training sessions. Summarizes course evaluations and assist with trainee follow-up. Participates in project planning and debrief meetings. Other tasks as assigned.

Required/Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required
Working knowledge of basic occupational safety and health principles with a commitment to advancing environmental health and social justice for all workers.
Required
Fluency in Spanish, both oral and written.
Required
Experience working with community-based organizations and/or worker advocacy organizations.
Preferred
Experience in developing education materials, particularly for worker audiences and/or those with limited literacy.
Preferred
Experience with worker health and safety training, particularly on topics related to hazardous materials and/or environmental exposures.
Preferred
Demonstrated oral communication skills, both in person and over the phone.

Demonstrated written communication skills.

Experience with social media communications.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time wisely.

Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
