UCLA is Hiring a Principal Operations Supervisor Near Los Angeles, CA
Reporting to the Director of Custodial and Grounds, the incumbent is responsible for budget and analytical support to the Director regarding all aspects of the $65M departmental operational budget, to include Operations and Maintenance of Plant (OMP) and other funding sources. Provide assistance in the preparation of the annual projected budget. Oversee and monitor changes that occur during the budgeting period to ensure they meet operational goals. Advise and provide guidance to director on the department's overall budget management. Assist with Rebate applications as well as creation of Service Level agreements/ Memos of Understanding with campus clients. Oversee vehicle utilization program and equipment databases.
In addition, oversee the Administrative Unit consisting of Administrative Support, Personnel, Pest Management and Zero Waste. Position will have oversight and participate in the recruitment process, disciplinary process, including investigations, as well as processing personnel updates. It will collaborate with the Integrated Pest Management Committee to ensure that initiatives are being implemented. The position will also work at ensuring that Sustainability initiatives are being implemented at the department level.

1. Demonstrated skill in financial analysis, planning, monitoring, budgeting and budget report preparation.

3. General knowledge of construction trade as it relates to construction methodology, construction scheduling, work scopes, schedules, and budgets in order to monitor the expenditures of various projects and monitoring of Preventative Maintenance Program.

Ability to recommend solutions to Production Control Superintendent and Analyst in order to achieve sound time management skills and control of projects and work proactively to mitigate delays, legal confrontations, budget problems and any additional complication that may jeopardize project or client confidence.
