UCLA is Hiring a HR Business Intelligence Analyst Near Los Angeles, CA
Reporting to the Human Resources Technical Project Manager, the HR Business Intelligence Analyst provides central HR analytical support for Campus Human Resources functional units, and acts as the department's primary resource on high-level data reporting and projects. The HR Business Intelligence Analyst develops complex reports consolidating and interpreting data from a variety of sources including, but not limited to, UCLA Campus Data Warehouse (CDW), UCLA's position description repository, applicant tracking system, case management tool, and responds to ad hoc requests received by Campus Human Resources. Writes, maintains, and supports the development of complex reports regarding the campus workforce or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Provides data analysis for Campus Human Resources, in the development of standard reports to meet ongoing operational needs and requirements. Helps maintain data integrity and identifies issues requiring coordination and additional analysis by functional and subject matter experts (SMEs). Responsibilities include the design and preparation of analytical reports for multiple areas of CHR, as well as other campus, systemwide, and external organizations with general oversight. Percentage of Time: 100 Shift Start: 8:00 am Shift End: 5:00 pm Qualifications for Position 15 Records Qualifications Required/Preferred Bachelor's degree and/or three (3) years of data management and data analysis experience including working with large data sets and data visualization tools or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Experience with SQL querying. Required Ability to formulate and efficiently execute analytical projects with significant individual discretion in methodology and outcomes in the context of general direction. Required Experience working with one or more of the following: HR systems, HR data, HR System design or administration, i.e. data process flows, interfaces, and configuration, as well as experience with the creation and manipulation of information from HR systems to develop reports and analyses which are easily consumable by various audiences with accuracy. Required Excellent analytical skills especially the ability to use Excel's advanced features including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc., and/or Access to conduct complicated analyses. Required Prior experience providing training to end users. Required Technical aptitude with strong logic, and problem-solving skills. Required Ability to perform multiple tasks and deal with changing deadlines. Required Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact with diverse functional and technical groups spanning all organizational levels. Required Thorough knowledge of HR processes and the interaction and structures of supporting systems. Required Conceptual understanding of application configuration methodologies. Required Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on assignments using initiative and problem-solving. Required Ability to develop concise, logical, and grammatically correct reports, documentation, procedures, correspondence, and other information. Required Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide variety of internal and external constituents. Required Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Outlook, etc.).
