UCLA is Hiring an Associate Director, Business Operations Manager Near Los Angeles, CA
The Business Operations Manager oversees teams including Document Services (digital print, document scanning, document management, and transactional print), Information Technology (systems analysis, business analytics, and programming), Direct Mail Services (USPS regulations), and Financial Reporting (analysis and budgeting). With an emphasis on leveraging information technology and automated workflows, the position works to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with rules and regulations. Successful candidates are leaders and critical thinkers, ready to solve problems before they become obstacles. Project and Technology Management experience is a plus including both delegation of duties and assuming duties as delegated. The incumbent functions as an advisor to MDDS technical units and administration. Analyzes and resolves technical problems, interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, human resource management), and demonstrates advanced subject matter knowledge. Supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources in compliance with departmental goals and objectives. Specialty function responsibility includes technology support for complex departmental applications, strategic planning, new equipment acquisition, budget preparation, and staff training. Work is performed onsite. Percentage of Time: 100 Shift Start: 8:00 am Shift End: 5:00 pm Qualifications for Position 13 Records Qualifications Required/Preferred Bachelor's degree or 10 years work related experience to include technology systems, strategic planning, budgeting, assessing resources, project management, financial analysis, and personnel development. Required Advanced knowledge of general accounting practices, in particular the accounting policies and procedures of the University of California. Preferred Advanced knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques; human resources and risk management planning; accounting and payroll. Required Advanced skill in the application of technology to improve organizational effectiveness, enhance productivity. Preferred Technical competency to design, select, implement, and manage technology solution Required Knowledge of supervision and management methods, procedures, and practices. Required Knowledge of planning, development and assessment of new programs. Preferred Advanced organizational and customer service skills to effectively manage multiple priorities. Required Demonstrated skills in employee supervision and HR administration. Required Knowledge of records management, documentation, and retention policies. Required Business computing and writing skills sufficient for presentation to University executives.
