Position Summary:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has 6 Sub-Speciality Divisions, with 30 faculty members, 41 physicians in advanced training programs, and an administrative support team of over 25 staff members. The mission of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is to deliver accessible, patient centered healthcare of the highest caliber while training compassionate, visionary, and innovative clinicians and researchers. We develop, teach, and practice state-of-the-art, evedence-based medicine that holds the promise of a brighter future for the people of California and beyond.
The Assistant Clinical Research coordinator's primary function will be the management of the day-to-day functions of the Reproductive Health Equity project. The incumbent will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Dr. Thiel de Bocanegra, and steering committee in the implementation of the projects promoting digital health literacy on reproductive and maternal health in the refugee community. The Assistant Clinical Research coordinator's primary function will be the management of the day-to-day functions of the Reproductive Health Equity project. The incumbent will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Dr. Thiel de Bocanegra, and steering committee in the implementation of the projects promoting digital health literacy on reproductive and maternal health in the refugee community. The incumbent will coordinate the review of the health education materials in Dari, Pashto, and Arabic for the digital library and coordinate in person and online reproductive health literacy training for Arab-speaking immigrants. The incumbent will coordinate the data entry of the pre-tests and the 2-week post assessments with the ReproNet content experts and Reproductive Health Equity volunteers. Finally, the incumbent will report to Dr. Thiel de Bocanegra, Vice Chair for Research of the ObGyn Department and principal investigator of the Reproductive Health Equity in Adshan and Syrian Newcomers Through Digital Health Literacy. The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $26.60 - $32.31 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $26.60 - $43.82 (Hourly Rate).

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience
  • Experience in project management (budgeting, report, meeting timelines)
  • Skill to organize and prioritize workload, coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Skill to use independent judgment to prioritize constantly changing job duties
  • Experience working with marginalized and or limited English proficient populations Initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability work well with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Demonstrated excellence in reliability and attendance Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative, and fast-paced work environment
  • Proficient with personal computers and a variety of applications including Microsoft Office Experience managing complex projects
Preferred:
Familiarity with public health concepts Spoken and written proficiency in Arabic
