What You’ll Do:

Our Talent Acquisition Analytics team is re-imagining how workforce decisions are made with our HR team and business leaders. We’re looking for a talented Data Analyst to complete the journey with us. They will be the subject matter expert and go-to person for data questions and a leader in identifying insights and informing the business to enable improved employee engagement, performance, and retention. We’re on a mission to embed data-driven people decisions across US Xpress as we re-imagine the transportation industry. The Data Analyst will:

• Deploy fully automated, self-service, interactive scorecards, and dashboards in Power BI to HR, Talent Acquisition, and leadership to speed time-to-insight and reduce manual reporting work
• Analyze workforce data, derive insights, and craft stories to influence important people decisions
• Develop Power BI dashboards and diagnostic apps with COEs to understand the why behind Talent Acquisition metric performance to inform employee program decisions
• Run ad hoc and standard reports as necessary with an eye towards automation
• Automate everything to focus our time and brainpower on insights and decision-making – not data wrangling.

What We’re Looking For:

Education

• Bachelor’s in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field preferred
• Data Science and Analytics nano degrees, micro degrees, and certificates from Coursera, Udemy, EdX and others helpful

Experience

• 3-5 years in business & data analytics
• Business and data analysis
• Experience doing ad hoc and standard reporting in varied web-based systems
• Design of interactive scorecards, dashboards and interactive data products connected to multiple data sources
• Advanced SQL knowledge for data cleansing, transformation, and wrangling is preferred
• Advanced skill with Power BI including ELT in Query Editor, data visualization creation, DAX, and app publishing
• Experience with data visualization best practices for data-driven storytelling
• Applicant Tracking System experience helpful

Skills/Certifications

• Learning agility to adapt and employ new analytics approaches and technology to continuously improve our operations
• Prioritization skill to balance workload and communicate to set expectations to requesters and partners
• Small project management skills to execute work in a disciplined, thoughtful way
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and dynamic environment with both virtual and face-to-face interactions
• Strong collaborative mindset, good judgment with great interpersonal skills required to help solve complex business problems
