U.S. Postal Service Federal Credit Union is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Clinton, MD

  • Compose and/or proofread correspondence, reports, proposals, spreadsheets and forms in frequent and regular intervals.
  • Record, compile, summarize, perform basic analysis of data, and perform mathematical calculations for their completion.
  • Prepare minutes of all Board meetings, responsible for the completion of monthly board packet, agendas and calendars. Schedule meetings.
  • Independently analyze, interpret, recommend and implement policy and procedural guidelines. Prepares and/or maintains all policies and procedures ensuring board approval is accomplished, when required.
  • Review and process information to determine conclusions, actions or compliance with applicable laws, rules or regulations.
  • Act as Executive Team’s personal secretary. Obtain travel arrangements, reservations, parking, meal arrangements, etc. for CEO, Board and Supervisory Committee members. Maintain expense reports for Board and Supervisory Committee members.
  • Act as membership officer; compile and review membership applications monthly. Resolve unmatched and missing Customer Due Diligence Questionnaires, as well as missing Member Identification weekly.
  • Assist with company intranet updates. Assist Compliance Officer with quarterly and annual software user review.
  • Coordinate office maintenance to include oversight of contracted housekeeper and maintenance workers. Order all supplies, furniture and equipment for successful office function.
  • Consistently exhibit confidentiality, tact and courtesy while performing duties that may be sensitive in nature.
  • May require the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of other staff, student workers and interns.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of and ability to use correct grammar, vocabulary, spelling and office terminology to compose and/or proofread correspondence, reports, memorandums and other materials.

Work Location: In person

  • Knowledge of modern office unit procedures, methods and practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) as well as other spreadsheet and analysis programs required.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting practices within a credit union.
  • Ability to learn and independently apply laws and departmental rules and regulations covering programs and services.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, recommend and implement policy and procedural guidelines.
  • Ability to apply a variety of work-related formulas and mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to independently work with courtesy and tack in performing public contact duties that are sensitive and confidential in nature.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High school diploma and at least 3 years of administrative experience. College degree preferred.
  • Must be bondable and pass a credit background.
